In 1972 I began selling residential real estate for a brokerage firm in the El Cajon Valley area of San Diego County about 15 miles East of downtown San Diego California. I found myself enjoying this new experience and quickly learned the business dealing in small ranches, acreage and vacant lots.

In 1974 I obtained my real estate Broker's license and started my own small brokerage firm. I expanded my brokerage activities to include creating, buying and selling notes secured by Deeds of Trust.

Not too long after starting my own brokerage business I obtained my California General Contractor's license. Acquiring buildable lots in the area and then designing, building and selling those single family homes gave me the full understanding of a home's construction from start to finish.

When home mortgage interest rates approached 25% per annum in July of 1981 I chose to close out my real estate activities for a time.

When the housing market turned around in the spring of 1984, my children were in college and working so I accepted an opportunity to go to work as a Marketing Rep. for Stewart Title Co. in San Diego. I worked in that capacity until June of 1995. After leaving Stewart Title Co. I went to work for The Corky McMillin Company as a Marketing Rep. for their Property Management Division and I remained there until June of 2002 when our long time dream of actually living here on the Central Coast of California became a reality for us.

My successes in life including my business successes have been largely due to my sincere interest in my clients and my deep sense of responsibility to deal fairly and honestly with them.
